A background check is required to volunteer with FIRST and FIRST RGV. Volunteer screening is done via STERLING VOLUNTEERS . The background check is free of charge and includes a records search of local, county, state and federal databases. Persons with felony convictions or those requred to register as a sex offender are prevented from attending an event and/or volunteering.
